Engineering the Perfect Contrast
Outstanding landscape architecture doesn’t compete with the home; it elevates it. For this project, the vision was to create a sophisticated outdoor ecosystem that complements the traditional brick facade of the residence while introducing distinctly modern elements. The design is anchored by massive, enduring materials—heavy timber and carved grey stone. By engineering four distinct outdoor experiences, including an innovative dual-fire concept, we conceptualized a space that transitions seamlessly from high-end culinary hosting to intimate, fireside relaxation.
Two Flames,
Two Atmospheres
A true luxury estate offers options. We designed two completely different fire experiences within the same patio. For year-round protection, a grand timber pergola extends from the home, sheltering a massive, custom-built stone fireplace. Just steps away, a second, open-air sunken fire pit provides a contrasting experience. Framed by robust stone seat walls and set upon a meticulously rendered herringbone pave floor, this lowered lounge offers an intimate gathering space under the stars.

Performance Gastronomy
Outdoor entertaining requires professional grade capability. The conceptual culinary zone features an expansive L-shaped outdoor kitchen built on a solid grey stone base. Equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances, ample storage, and thick, pristine white countertops, it is engineered for maximum culinary performance. An adjacent formal dining space for eight ensures the transition from preparation to presentation is flawless.
Guiding the Journey
Circulation is the silent language of landscape design. We eschewed traditional continuous paving in favor of a modern access path utilizing oversized, smooth concrete slabs. Bordered by manicured low shrubs and white roses, this striking pathway guides guests through the space with geometric precision. The contrast between these clean, modern slabs and the intricate herringbone brickwork of the fire lounge showcases a mastery of multi-textural hardscaping.

From Render to Blueprint
These hyperrealistic renders represent the exact standard of SunSouth Carolinas’ pre-construction engineering. Designing a sunken fire pit requires complex subterranean drainage planning, while supporting a massive timber pergola on a single stone column demands precise load-bearing calculations. We don’t just create beautiful images; we generate exact architectural blueprints ensuring the final installation mirrors the vision with zero compromises.
